Real Madrid trainer Zinedine Zidane has concluded a new three-year understanding with a European and Spanish champions.

In 18 months in charge, a former Real midfielder has won a Champions League twice and La Liga once.

Speaking on a eve of their Spanish Super Cup initial leg during Barcelona, he said: “My story with Real Madrid is deeper than contracts and signatures.

“I’m happy to be related with a club. But a agreement doesn’t meant anything.”

The 45-year-old former France international, who managed Real’s B group before replacing Rafael Benitez in Jan 2016, added: “You can pointer for 10, 20 years. we know where we am and what to do.

“In one year, maybe we won’t be here. Real Madrid and we are not going to argue, never.”

Real revisit Barca on Sunday with a diversion kicking off during 21:00 BST, with a second leg on Wednesday during a Bernabeu (22:00 BST).
