The dual have a history, according to CBSSports.com. They were interconnected together in pro-ams during Bay Hill (2005) and Quail Hollow (2009).
After a turn in Charlotte in 2009, Woods told reporters (via The Associated Press) that there always is some cooperative needling that goes on — for a full 18 holes.
“We don’t get a possibility to do it really mostly with a schedules, and seasons overlapping during a wrong times, so when we do get an opportunity like that, it’s fun,” Woods said. “It’s trash-talking a whole day.”
