AUSTIN, Texas – For dual decades, Tiger Woods has insisted that he never enters an eventuality he doesn’t design to win.
But winning here during Austin Country Club will be a small some-more fatiguing than normal.
Whichever players allege to Sunday’s final compare will have played 7 rounds of golf in 5 days. That’s a lot of golf on any course, let alone on this extravagantly undulated walk.
When Woods stepped to a lectern for media accessibility following his Tuesday use round, he offering this initial sense of Austin CC.
“Well,” he started, “it’s not flat.”
Nope, it isn’t. And so even yet he’s in a margin for some-more than elementary Masters prep, Woods had to concur that 7 rounds in 5 days would positively volume to a new plea for his new, surgically fused back.
“It will be new for me. When I’m during home, I’m in a transport and some-more prosaic ground,” he pronounced with a laugh. “You could play 36 holes in 3 and a half hours. So it’s a small bit different. And this is, as we said, not a prosaic golf course. And so there’s going to be a lot of engaging lies and shapes. It’s a good walk.”
Of course, compared to where he was dual years ago, personification so good that he has to keep personification is a good problem to have.
“The finish of final year gave me a lot of certainty that we played as many events as we did to finish a season,” pronounced Woods, who played 7 out of 8 weeks from a WGC-Bridgestone by a Ryder Cup.
“I was fried, we was tired, though my physique hold up. So that’s something that has been really good. My training has been flattering good. My neck has been feeling better, that is nice. And so we have to play good and kick a man in front of me in sequence to have that conditions where I’m there on Sunday in a finals. So there’s a lot of work to be finished between now and then.”
