Stuttgart Open champion Laura Siegemund has postulated a right knee repairs and will skip subsequent week’s French Open, Germany’s Fed Cup captain has said.
Siegemund was harmed during her second turn compare opposite Barbora Krejcikova during a Nuremberg Cup and her Fed Cup captain Barbara Rittner told reporters she would not play during Roland Garros.
“She won’t be means to play in Paris,” pronounced Rittner, who suggested a 29-year-old had suffered vinculum damage.
Former U.S. Open men’s champion Juan Martin Del Potro is also a doubt for a French Open due to injuries.
“I feel pain in a shoulder and back,” Del Potro told reporters after losing in a second turn of a Lyon Open.
“I will go to Paris and we will take a preference shortly about either we play a French Open.”
