Shaquille O’Neal’s son, UCLA partisan Shareef O’Neal, will lay out his beginner deteriorate to redeem from heart surgery, he pronounced Friday.
O’Neal, 18, did not exhibit a condition doctors detected, though told TMZ Sports, that initial reported a story, he “felt funny” during one of his initial summer practices with a Bruins. The team’s medical staff gave him a heart monitor, he said, and told him to press a symbol on a device if he felt indisposed again.
Several practices later, he did press a symbol and doctors found what O’Neal described as “something critical and flattering risky.”
“Thank God a UCLA medical staff held it early,” O’Neal told TMZ.
O’Neal, a 6-foot-9 energy brazen and a No. 41 partisan in a category of 2018, according to scouting use 247Sports, will take a medical redshirt his beginner year, that allows him to sojourn on grant during UCLA and safety all 4 years of eligibility.
“During my rehab, I’ll be attending my classes and being a normal student,” he said.
“I’ll be behind in no time,” he added.
