MADRID — Rafael Nadal says he is on lane to returning to a ATP Tour in Acapulco this month.
The top-ranked Nadal says on Monday he is recuperating good from a left leg flesh damage that forced him to retire in a Australian Open quarterfinals final month. He was in a fifth set opposite Marin Cilic.
Nadal says he is undergoing complete diagnosis to make certain he is fit to play in a Mexico tournament, that starts on Feb. 26.
Nadal was in Madrid to establish a sports medicine hospital dedicated to tennis.
