Portland Trail Blazers kick San Antonio Spurs during NBA Summer League: Score, stats live updates recap

The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the San Antonio Spurs 94-87 Saturday in a quarterfinal matchup at Las Vegas Summer League.

Jake Layman finished with 23 points and seven rebounds and Caleb Swanigan added 16 points and 9 rebounds for a Blazers, who modernized to Sunday’s semifinals.

Portland will face a leader of a Miami Heat-Memphis Grizzlies quarterfinal diversion on Sunday.

Layman scored 21 points in a second half, including 13 in a fourth quarter. He made 5 of 10 shots, including 3 of 5 three-pointers, in a final quarter.

After going 1-2 in rough play, a Blazers have won 3 in a quarrel in a contest apportionment of summer league, violence a Chicago Bulls, top-seeded Toronto Raptors and Spurs.

The Blazers will play a rest of summer joining but rookie Zach Collins (right quad contusion) and third-year guard Pat Connaughton (left hamstring strain), who suffered teenager injuries in a detriment to a San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday.
