Pittsburgh, Penguins to start construction on aged Civic Arena site

The city of Pittsburgh and a Pittsburgh Penguins are finally going to start construction on a aged Civic Arena site. 

“Based on a stream projections, by a finish of this year you’ll see construction entrance out of a ground,” Pittsburgh Penguins’ arch handling officer Travis Williams said.

Members of a village met with plan planners Tuesday night to voice their opinions. 

The plan will move new housing, sell and party space to a Lower Hill District.

The Penguins and Pittsburgh have battled for years over what to do with a property, though finally came to an agreement in December.
