Penguins remember defenseman Ruhwedel, goaltender Jarry – Pittsburgh Post

The Penguins removed defenseman Chad Ruhwedel and goaltender Tristan Jarry from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton today.

Both players were on a Penguins’ register before a team’s off week, that began after a 4-3 overtime win opposite Montreal Dec. 31, though were sent down to get some games in a AHL while a Penguins were off.

Both played in Wilkes-Barre’s 3-2 win opposite a Hartford Wolf Pack Jan. 3. Ruhwedel notched a idea and and an assist, while Jarry stopped 25 shots for his 14th AHL win of a season.

Ruhwedel has played in 5 NHL games for a Penguins this deteriorate — all in a month of Dec — with one idea and one assist.

The preference to remember Jarry could also be an indicator as to a health of goalie Matt Murray, who was ruled out week to week with a lower-body damage before a team’s week off.

The Penguins resume use currently during PPG Paints Arena, with their initial diversion of a new year Sunday during home opposite Tampa Bay.
