Penguins brazen Conor Sheary out indefinitely with lower-body injury

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Pittsburgh Penguins brazen Conor Sheary is out indefinitely with a lower-body injury.

Coach Mike Sullivan pronounced Thursday that Sheary is “week to week” after removing harm in a 5-2 win over San Jose on Tuesday.

Sheary has 12 goals and 7 assists in 52 games. Bryan Rust, who scored twice opposite San Jose, took Sheary’s mark on a tip line with Sidney Crosby and Dominik Simon during use Thursday.

The Penguins have won 8 of 10 to pierce into second place in a Metropolitan Division behind Washington. The Capitals revisit Pittsburgh on Friday.
