One year after US Open debut, golfer Andrew Landry takes Digital Ally Open lead

Andrew Landry had some-more than adequate sleep.

The 29-year-old Tour golfer from Texas spent a amazing off-day Thursday — a day a weekend’s Digital Ally Open had been scheduled to start — resting.

“I laid in bed for about 30 hours,” pronounced Landry, a tour’s tip earner in 2017 so distant with $276,118 in winnings. “My behind was a small hurt.”

By a time he stepped onto a march here during Nicklaus Golf Club during LionsGate on Friday morning, one day after torrential rains had rendered a greens unplayable, Landry was in unfortunate need of a wakeup call.

Starting on a behind nine, Landry butchered a par-4 10th. His tee shot landed in a fairway, though his subsequent try found a rough. He finished with a bogie on a hole.
