A designed muster compare between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal in Saudi Arabia has been called off given of a Spaniard’s ankle injury.

The world’s tip dual ranked players were due to accommodate in Jeddah on 22 December.

There had been calls for a compare to be cancelled after a murder of Saudi publisher Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul.

The Saudis acknowledge Khashoggi was killed in their consulate, and Turkish officials trust he was choked to genocide and his physique dismembered.

World series one Djokovic pronounced final month that he and Nadal would make a preference “soon” once they had some-more information about a situation.

The Serb told BBC Sport on Friday: “Nadal is injured, so a compare is not function this year.”

Nadal pulled out of a ATP Tour finals in London after carrying medicine on his ankle final week.

Other sports events have taken place in Saudi Arabia given Khashoggi was killed, such as Brazil’s football general opposite Argentina on 16 October.
