Cubs’ Carl Edwards Jr.: Expects to lapse for intensity NLDS

Edwards (forearm) pronounced he’ll be prepared to go for Game 1 of a NLDS on Thursday if a Cubs advance, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.

Edwards was left off a register for Tuesday’s NL Wild Card Game opposite a Rockies due to forearm discomfort, though a reliever doesn’t design a emanate to keep him from pitching a rest of a playoffs should a Cubs advance. The 27-year-old has been one of Chicago’s best relievers this season, posting a 2.60 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 67:32 K:BB by 52 innings.
