JEJU ISLAND, South Korea — Brooks Koepka is golf’s new No. 1 after winning a CJ Cup during Nine Bridges on Sunday by 4 strokes.
Koepka, who replaced Dustin Johnson for a world’s tip ranking, shot a final-round 8-under 64 for a 21-under sum of 267. Koepka, who had never hold a tip ranking, led by 4 strokes after 3 rounds.
“To be No. 1 is something I’ve dreamed of as a kid,” Koepka said. “I don’t consider this one is going to penetrate in.”
